Tobias was appointed as Head of Central Compliance and Strategy at Erste Group in 2019. His responsibilities include the steering of compliance risks across Erste Group’s markets in Austria and CEE. His department develops and runs advanced analytics solutions in AML monitoring. Since September 2023 his area of responsibility was enlarged with regulatory compliance with the aim of ensuring Erste Group’s compliance with banking regulation. He has served in various risk management positions in strategic risk management in the last 10 years and supported the group CRO as Executive Assistant prior to taking over his current role. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics and econometrics.
