Rob Harrison is the Group Financial Crime Risk Director and MLRO at Aviva plc, where he leads the development and oversight of the Group’s financial crime framework. With over 20 years of experience spanning financial services and law enforcement, Rob brings deep expertise in managing fraud, bribery, and money laundering risk across global markets.

Rob began his career in retail banking before training as a Financial Investigator in UK law enforcement. He later led the financial investigation team at Counter Terrorism Policing North East, coordinating proactive terrorist financing investigations across multiple police forces. Since joining Aviva in 2010, Rob has held senior roles including Head of Group Investigations, where he led complex misconduct investigations and Aviva’s whistleblowing programme. He was appointed Group Financial Crime Risk Director and MLRO in January 2024.

Rob holds an MA in Financial Investigation & Financial Crime and the ICA International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering. He is a passionate advocate for inclusive leadership and is known for building high-performing, collaborative teams that protect customers, employees, and society from financial crime.
