Nicolas is the Global Head of Ethics Advisory at Credit Agricole CIB. He is responsible for the following areas of Credit Agricole CIB’s world-wide compliance program: Anti-corruption and fraud compliance programs (Sapin II requirements in particular), Internal investigations, Sustainable finance (ESG), Data protection program, including GDPR, Tax governance (FATCA, AEOI, 871M), Culture & conduct program.

Nicolas was called to the Paris Bar in 2004 and joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he became an accomplished advocate. In 2010, he joined banking giant Société Générale, where he was appointed General Counsel for Investigations, Litigation and Regulatory Affairs. During the years spent at SG, he played a key role in some of the most significant disputes and investigations involving the bank over the past decade, including Libor, Sanctions, the Kerviel rogue trading case, and the Libya-related FCPA matter. Nicolas Brooke has acquired a wealth of experience in the management of large international legal teams, and is recognized as a market leading expert in the areas of internal and government investigations, high stakes disputes, crisis management and compliance remediation.
