Nicola Horton

About

Nicola is an executive leader with extensive experience in fighting financial crime. She has over 20 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector in varied leadership roles in the UK and Australia. She joined NatWest Group in January 2023 as the Group’s Director of Financial Crime, where her role is overseeing the detection and prevention of financial crime across all customer bases: Retail, Wealth, Commercial and Institutional and Markets. From 2020 to 2022 she worked at CBA where her remit as General Manager, Regulatory and Control Operations was financial crime activities across the bank. Prior to this, Nicola led the Intelligence Led Financial Crime Risk Management Strategy at HSBC driving the vision to change financial crime risk detection throughout the Group, utilising new technologies and capabilities. Nicola also held the role of Head of Financial Crime Shared Services at Barclays; a Global Operation/Shared Service for all Business Lines covering Financial Crime activities across the Group protecting the Bank against Regulatory Sanction, fines and Reputational Risk.
