Lucy is the Head of Economic Crime and Government Affairs for the City of London Police. She wrote and launched the National Policing Strategy for Fraud, Economic and Cyber Crime in November 2023. This is a 5 year strategy and implementation plan for policing which provides action plans and commitments to deliver against the national strategies set by the Home Office.

Lucy worked within Police Intelligence for 20 years before moving into her current role, specialising in fraud intelligence within the City of London Police and heading up the Intelligence Development Team. She worked her way up from an Intelligence Researcher and Analyst, becoming the Director of Intelligence Development before moving into her current role as strategy lead.
