Kevin has been a Police officer for nearly 20 years and has dedicated his whole service to tackling wildlife crime. His affinity to animals and his drive to tackle wildlife crime is part of his DNA and defines Kevin as a Police Officer. His journey here hasn’t been easy. When Kevin started as a wildlife enforcer it simply wasn’t important in Policing, so you were looked unfavourably for enforcing it. But determination pays and Kevin now leads his team who have been recognised as the worlds best wildlife crime policing unit.
Kevin is always looking to show why enforcing wildlife crime is important and it feeds into the wider policing picture, having links to serious and organised crime, that those who abuse animals abuse people also, and now in 2022 we have the opportunity to identify and enforce illicit finances that come from global wildlife crime.
