Jérôme SIMON is Public Prosecutor at the National Financial Public Prosecutor Office in Paris, also known as the PNF. He is currently leading several highly complex investigations, usually with an international dimension, in matters of stock market offenses, corruption, influence peddling, embezzlement of public funds or tax evasion scheme. Before joining the PNF, he worked at the Ministry of Justice, at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and as Criminal Adviser of the former Minister of Justice Nicole BELLOUBET. In these positions he had the responsibility to draft the December 6th 2013 Law which created the PNF, the 2016 Sapin II Law which resulted in the creation of the CJIP and of the new offense of international influence peddling. He also had the responsability to draft the Belloubet Circular of 2020 which defines the french Criminal policy in the fight against foreign bribery. Recently he took part to the writing of the new PNF “guidelines on the implementation of the judicial public interest agreement (CJIP)”.
