Iggy Azad is a Senior Director at Coinbase, where he oversees the domains of investigations, intelligence, and law enforcement relations. With a keen focus on combating illicit activities within the cryptocurrency space, Iggy leads a dedicated team of investigators tackling issues ranging from fraud to terrorist financing. Before joining Coinbase, Iggy had a decorated 20-year career with the Metropolitan Police Service (Met) in London. He began his career walking the beat, before moving to Criminal Investigation Department (CID), where he honed his investigative skills tackling gang crime in South London. In 2011, Iggy moved to the National Cyber Crime Unit, where he served until 2019. During this period, he became an experienced financial investigator. He first began investigating illicit use of cryptocurrency in 2014.
