Eugene is the Compliance Lead Europe at Rio Tinto. Previously, he worked at VEON as Ethics & Compliance Officer. He joined VEON compliance team in 2017 with a task to build a new anti-corruption compliance monitoring program and to launch it with ten operating companies in Russia, CIS and emerging markets. The program includes intensive risk assessments, due diligence, compliance monitoring, testing and forensic reviews. Previously he worked for Microsoft where he led a global team of investigators tasked with investigating of bribery, fraud or misconduct and supporting litigations in Europe, Middle East and Africa with a heavy focus on Russia and the CIS.

Eugene hold MBA from Imperial College London and BSc (Hons) in Finance and Economics and currently enrolled in LL.M. International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation at Warwick University. He is Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is a regular participant in worldwide leading anti-corruption compliance forums.
