Elżbieta Franków-Jaśkiewicz

Elżbieta Franków Jaśkiewicz is the Deputy Director of the Department of Financial Information of the Polish Ministry of Finance (Polish FIU – the General Inspector of Financial Information). She has over 30 years of experience in Polish public administration in the Police, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Finance. For the past 24 years she has focused on AML/CFT within the Polish FIU.

Her involvement with the Egmont Group has been extensive, including significant contributions to various working groups. She began with the Operational Working Group (now the Information Exchange Working Group) and later participated in the Technical Assistance and Training Working Group. In 2022 she was elected Vice Chair of the Egmont Group, and since June 2024 she has served as the Chair of the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units.

Beyond Egmont, she has represented the Polish FIU in international AML/CFT fora such as FATF, MONEYVAL, EAG, UNODC, OECD, OSCE, the EU FIU Platform, and FIU.Net, and has delivered training for numerous FIUs. She has led and advised on AML/CFT twinning and capacity building initiatives, including service as Resident Twinning Adviser for Romania in 2010 and expert roles on projects in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. Within MONEYVAL she headed the Polish delegation from 2009, served on the Bureau from 2011 to 2015, was elected Vice Chair in 2015 and again in 2017, and held the position of President from August 1, 2019. She was seconded to UNODC’s GPML as an advisor for Central Asia from September 2017 to March 2018. Mrs. Franków Jaśkiewicz holds a master’s degree in arts and completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, the Police Academy in Szczytno, and the National School of Public Administration.
