Elisa De Anda Madrazo

Elisa de Anda has a decade of leadership in anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT). She currently serves as Senior Advisor at the Office of the Mexican Minister of Finance and Public Credit. Until June 2023, Elisa held for three years the Vice-Presidency of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), where she led pivotal initiatives and represented the organization globally, collaborating with regional bodies and observer organizations. Before her international tenure, Elisa served in the Mexican government, where she worked as Head Attaché to the Mexican Embassy in Washington DC, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations with the United States on AML/CFT and shaping policies.

Elisa’s diverse career path also includes work in the private sector and research on money laundering. She holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and earned two Master’s degrees – one in Law and another in Public Administration – from Harvard.
