Dafydd assumed the role of Group Head of Financial Crime Compliance in January 2025.

Dafydd has a broad financial service background with leadership experience across transformation, digitalisation, controls and audit. In his Barclays tenure, he has performed a variety of roles in Change, Data, Finance, Technology, Compliance and Audit. Prior to re-joining Compliance, Dafydd led the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Services team providing services to BIA and the Board Audit Committee Chair, enabling the effective and efficient running of BIA as a function and third line of defence.

Prior to joining Barclays, Dafydd led change initiatives at Credit Suisse First Boston and commenced his career at Accenture (Andersen Consulting). Dafydd holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
