Conchita Castro serves as the Head of Evidence and Strategy at the Home Office’s Joint Anti-Corruption Unit (JACU). In this capacity, she plays a leading role in shaping and delivering the UK Government’s anti-corruption strategy by overseeing research, policy development, and cross-government coordination on integrity and transparency initiatives.

With extensive experience in public sector governance and anti-corruption policy, Conchita has been instrumental in strengthening the UK’s approach to combating bribery, corruption, and related financial crimes. She works closely with domestic and international partners to advance evidence-based policymaking, enhance accountability mechanisms, and promote ethical standards across government and business.

Conchita has been a key contributor to the development of the forthcoming update to the UK’s Anti-Corruption Strategy, which sets out the government’s priorities for tackling corruption both domestically and abroad. Her work reflects a strong commitment to improving integrity frameworks, fostering collaboration between departments, and ensuring that anti-corruption efforts are grounded in solid evidence and strategic foresight.
