Abigail Culank

About

Abigail joined the civil service in 2002, and has worked in the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Department for Exiting the EU and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, including five years posted to Brussels. She has been Deputy Director for Sanctions since February 2022, where she is responsible for sanctions strategy, legislation, engagement and data and leads on the Economic Deterrence Initiative. Prior to joining the UK Government, Abigail was a solicitor in private practice, specialised in civil litigation.
