EPPO investigated suspected manipulation of €7 million in EU-funded IT procurement across Romania

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office carried out 19 searches as part of an investigation into 29 EU-funded IT projects suspected of being manipulated to favour preselected suppliers of cloud infrastructure solutions. Investigators identified indications that consultancy documentation was systematically reused across projects and that suppliers may have submitted false or incomplete documents, with OLAF providing operational analysis to the investigation.
