Svatava Sprague is Senior Corporate Counsel and Regional Compliance Director – Europe at Microsoft, where she acts as a subject matter expert on compliance matters, providing legal advice and investigative support while contributing to the strengthening of Microsoft’s compliance programme and ethical culture. She joined Microsoft in 2014, following more than 13 years at Norton Rose Fulbright, where she qualified as a solicitor and advised major global companies on compliance, business ethics, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, risk management and internal investigations. Her experience also includes secondments to BP and Carlsberg, providing in-house legal and compliance support. Svatava has extensive experience across common and civil law jurisdictions, with expertise spanning regulatory compliance, risk management, investigations, business ethics, human rights, AML, fraud and financial crime.
