Major General Marco Lainati is a senior officer of the Guardia di Finanza, Italy’s financial and economic police force. He currently serves as Commander of the Legione Allievi della Guardia di Finanza in Bari, a position he has held since September 2023.

Throughout his career, General Lainati has held senior command positions within the Guardia di Finanza, including leadership roles in Ravenna and other regional assignments. His experience spans financial and economic policing, public security, and the operational leadership of Guardia di Finanza personnel. He has also been involved in the training and development of future officers and financial police personnel through his current command at the Legione Allievi.

His current role places him at the centre of the professional preparation and development of Guardia di Finanza personnel.
