Job description

We are supporting the build of a major UK bank’s Financial Crime Governance team. This individual will be expected to contribute to developing the bank’s FCC Governance, Strategy and reporting framework.

The position will be highly visible internally, including reporting to senior executive and board level committees.

Key accountabilities:

  • Assisting development and implementation of Financial Crime Strategy and Governance framework.
  • Taking a lead role in supporting internal governance committees.
  • Identify and drive through enhancements to continuously improve the governance framework and identification/reporting of financial crime risks
  • Identify and develop synergies across the bank’s wider FCC department, to apply consistency and continuous improvements to key regulatory controls
  • Assist in coordinating and maintaining relationship with wider financial crime teams and stakeholders

Required experience:

  • A strong understanding of Financial Crime risk, and experience of participating in governance or reporting activities. This could have been part of a specialist role, or a smaller component of a broader role.
  • Wide-ranging regulatory awareness within FCC and a strong horizon-scanner
  • Strong organisational and excel skills.

This is a permanent position based in London.
