Financial Crime Compliance – Head of Governance and Control

Global banking groups Retail, Wealth and Commercial banking lines has created a new position to own the FCC frameworks/Governance and MI for the UK&I.

You will own the daily oversight and management of governance framework and strategy of Financial Crime Risk Management. As a leader in Financial Crime you will promote a culture of open-mindedness where challenging and redefining in-place systems is encouraged. Further demonstrate strong people management – with oversight of a team of 10.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Bank in the definition and execution of a robust FC risk management framework with a clear focus on the customer journey and experience management of FCC risk arising from internal and external activities, processes and people.
  • Managing FC Risks strategy, outlining need for change, organising and comparing FCC MI assessing training requirements.
  • Maintaining up to date regulatory developments in line of FC communications
  • Assisting the Bank using solid FC risk management framework
  • Supporting Financial Crime Transformation Programme through continuous improvements
  • Mentoring risk awareness and management culture within the Bank
  • Preparing board level papers for Enterprise Risk Committee, Board Risk Committee, Board Audit Committee and executive committee.

What you need to be a successful candidate:

  • Deep FCC knowledge across global AML, Sanctions and AB&C
  • Strong experience in framework management/governance
  • Knowledge of Bank structure roles, policies, frameworks and procedures
