Job description

Our client is a well known European Bank looking for someone to play a key part in delivering Financial Crime Policy and influence the quality assurance of the whole bank.


Key duties will be:

  • Perform quality assurance checks on KYC files, sanctions, PEPs, TPPs, RCAs and monitoring of unusual transactions
  • Develop an annual risk-based Controls and Monitoring Plan, covering all aspects of Financial Security;
  • Lead on preparation and delivery of regular and ad-hoc management information including relevant statistical production as and when required;
  • Report findings to the MLRO and Head of Compliance UK including presentation to internal committees;
  • Review existing FS Policy and procedures, and keeping these up-to-date, and developing new policies and procedures as required.
  • Develop and deliver training (including FS Team induction training) as and when required;
  • Undertake such ad hoc projects that are required to be undertaken by Financial Security;
  • Receiving guidance on a day to day basis from the MLRO as and when required.


Specific requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of UK KYC requirements. An understanding of the requirements within the EU Money
  • Laundering Directive (as applicable), its influence on the UK Money Laundering Regulations 2007 and the
  • practical application of the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group Guidance Notes and Sanctions issues;
  • Experience of working with AML and Sanctions compliance software and systems;
  • Reporting suspicious activity to the Fraud Detection and Special Investigations Manager and the MLRO;
  • Knowledge of overseas KYC requirements (as applicable).
