TI-EU challenges the European Commission over a consultancy advising its hydrogen policy while also working for fossil-fuel and gas-storage interests that could benefit from the same programme

The complaint concerns Guidehouse’s work for DG Energy on the European Hydrogen Bank while it was also engaged by H2eart for Europe, an alliance promoting underground hydrogen storage projects. Transparency International EU and four partner organisations have asked the Commission to explain its due-diligence procedures and urgently review Guidehouse’s contracts for potential professional conflicts of interest.
